T-DRILL · End forming
SPM-115Tube spinning for flat end closing.
SPM-115 closes the ends of copper and brass tubes with a flat profile. An electric servo drive follows the programmed cycle while a rotating tool forms the stationary tube.

From workpiece to process
Applications for SPM-115
A machine for repeat production of closed ends on manifolds and HVACR components. Tool friction heats the tube end; selection considers the closure shape, material condition and finished component requirements.
How does the process work?
Clamping
The tube remains stationary in the selected clamps.
Spinning
The rotating tool heats the end by friction and forms it.
Returning to a recipe
For the next batch, the operator selects the stored programme and correct tools.

Configuration
Equipment selected for production
Clamps are selected for the diameter, the tool for the closure profile, and supports for the tube length and geometry. Other operations require separate agreement with the manufacturer.

Send the closure drawing, tube material and condition, diameter, wall thickness, length and required cycle time.
Before you choose
How does SPM-115 differ from SP-110?
SPM-115 is presented as a flat end closing solution. SP-110 has separately defined ranges for closing, reducing and expanding.
Does the 3.4 mm figure apply to every tube?
No. In the brochure it refers to Type K copper tubes. Material, diameter and wall thickness are checked together.
